Stoneprinting is produced by dipping wooden molds of different sizes with floral and geometric motifs made of linden wood by hand carving or embossing on plain white or cream kaput cloth and dipping them in specially prepared monochrome paint and printing them.
Although the first production of Stone Printing is not known exactly since it coincides with the other Kastamonu weavings; it is thought to have a history dating back to the 17th century. At that time, with the lack of easy transportation and promotion, Table Cloth weaving and printing remained local .There are table cloth figures from Kastamonu's classical past in stone printing. Among them are figures such as Single Deer, Double Deer, Hittite Sun, Circle Pattern, Letter Birds, Peacock, Double birds, Ottoman Tulip, Ottoman Stone printing is one of the living handicrafts of Kastamonu.
