Made with the geographically marked Müşküle needle lace. It is a unique artichoke shaped lace of the region. Gaziantepe-specific Muhare fabric and Müşküle needle laces were used.
The women of the Müşküle Neighborhood of Iznik provide their livelihood with needle laces that they have been embroidering with the same tradition for centuries.
Embroidery, one of the most important examples of Turkish culture and handicrafts, is one of the most beautiful examples of hand labor today, which emerged from the combination of flowers and knitting art. Müşküleli women, who have been continuing these examples with the same culture and tradition for centuries, meet their livelihood in this way.
